Amber Level
The Amber level incorporates the latest micro-controller technology and Time of Flight unit to enable level sensing. This is archived by measuring the time light taken to move from sensor to an object and back. This is then converted into a distance measurement. The product can intelligently detect motion using an onboard accelerometer and determine a vehicles ignition status using an algorithm on the sensor inputs. The product has configurable inputs and outputs to attach external sensors and controllers and has rechargeable battery option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Amber Level is a tank level monitoring device from Amber IoT that measures the level of liquid in a tank and reports it wirelessly over the Sigfox 0G network. Designed and supported in South Africa, it gives remote visibility of water, fuel, or chemical levels without cellular or fixed-line connections. It is well suited to tanks in remote or distributed locations.
Amber Level measures the liquid level in a tank and transmits the reading over the Sigfox 0G low-power network to a backend platform for monitoring. Because it sends small, infrequent messages, it uses very little power and can run on battery for long periods. This provides ongoing visibility without manual dipping or repeated site visits.
Amber Level is used to monitor water tanks and reservoirs, fuel and diesel tanks, and chemical or agricultural storage across sites that are often remote or off-grid. Remote level data helps prevent run-outs, schedule refills efficiently, and detect leaks or unexpected usage. This is valuable in agriculture, utilities, logistics, and facilities management.
Yes Amber Level runs on the Sigfox 0G network, which provides national coverage and needs very little power, so it can operate on battery power for extended periods at remote tanks. This makes it ideal for farms, reservoirs, and industrial sites without mains power or reliable mobile signal. Level readings are still delivered wirelessly to a central platform.
Tank level monitoring reduces costs by replacing manual inspections with automatic remote readings, preventing costly run-outs, and highlighting leaks or theft early. Optimising refills and deliveries based on real levels also cuts unnecessary trips and downtime. Over time this improves efficiency across water, fuel, and chemical operations.
